The following post is written on January 25th, 2014. I wrote this with a fellow student for our website .

In addition to the downtown event Fashion & van Gogh textile designer by Borre gave an interactive workshop. This workshop strengthened the purpose of the event.

All visitors were asked to take a seat at a long table where they could help in the creative process for his new collection. During the workshop we spoke to Borre and his assistant Sjoerd about his current project and explored their vision behind this.

It’s nice to see that technology and craftsmanship come together in their work. The substance is developed by a production process and cooperation between machines and handcrafts. This causes other patterns, which could not be created with only the use of machines. These different techniques compliment and reinforced each other.

Borre is actually a designer of interior textiles. This culminated in textile design for fashion because this transition felt very natural.

Once again we see that fashion goes hand in hand with art.
